Camas, WA, July 18, 2002 - Since the introduction of the Performance Series Knifeholder in 2000, Tidland has received an overwhelming response from converters looking for innovative ways to increase productivity. Advanced new technology is allowing customers to cut more material per shift, eliminate downtime, reduce maintenance and improve roll quality.
Operators can accurately set knifeholders in seconds, not minutes, using the advanced function control knob, factory pre-set cant angles and a streamlined design. Tools are no longer needed during setup, maximizing run time. Dull or worn blades can be changed off-line using interchangeable blade cartridges while the slitter continues to function.
Blade life is improved with precise side pressure settings that are controlled automatically, eliminating accelerated blade wear due to incorrect pressure. Blade depth is set for the optimum cut using the calibrated depth control knob, reducing the risk of dust and reject material.
High quality components and robust construction ensure a lasting investment. These knifeholders are constructed to withstand dust, vibration, rust, and other factors that are frequent in the converting environment.
Knifeholders are shipped with a video demonstration of set-up, dismantle, and operation to help operators become familiar with the new product design.
