Camas, WA, July 18, 2002 Tidland Corporation, an industry leader in web slitting and winding products and systems, announces the latest results from their newest innovation in web shear slitting. Tidland's Performance Series knifeholders are designed to provide web operators the quickest, most accurate and reliable set-ups resulting in remarkably increased productivity and unrivaled roll quality.
Now operators can quickly and easily change dull blades off-line using the tool-free, one handed cartridge mount exclusive to Tidland's Performance Series Knifeholders. By simply removing the cartridge mount from the knifeholder and replacing it with a spare, critical upper to lower knife settings are left in tact. Dull blades are changed off-line, eliminating the need to remove, re-mount and re-position the entire knifeholder. The removable blade cartridge is also 180-degree reversible, allowing the use of both sides of the anvil blade for longer life.
Tidland's Performance Series knifeholders are available in three models to accommodate a wide range of slitting applications and materials; Class I for light duty shearing, Class II for medium to heavy duty slitting and Class III for mill duty applications. They fit the Tidland MSP™ - Modular Slitter Positioning and ESP® - Electronic Slitter Positioning systems.
