Tidland Corporation - a Maxcess International Company - a world leader in supplying engineered components to the web handling and converting industry is seeking an Engineering Manager to provide leadership and supervision to a tight-knit group of experienced engineers and designers.

Responsibilities include:

1) Product Engineering which is responsible for the engineering, design and drafting of Winding Products – also involved in evolutionary design changes to improve manufacturability, functionality and/or reduce costs while meeting customer needs
2) Project Engineering which is responsible for the engineering, design and drafting of Slitting Products and Systems – also involved pre-sales and post-sales engineering support, development of custom slitting products and systems, and design and install of system configurations
3) Product Development Engineering which is responsible for the technical evolution of a product in transition from R & D to a fully productized unit in the early manufacturing stage
4) Research and Development which is responsible for new product development under the guidelines of a Market Requirement prepared by the Product Manager

5) Able to motivate, mentor and lead employees
6) Ability to promote teamwork, innovation and creative ideas to develop new technology and increase market share

Education and Experience needed:

1) BSME degree, Master’s degree is preferred
2) Minimum of five years experience in industrial machine design preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment and five years experience in engineering management
3) Expertise is failure mechanics and metallurgy
4) Three years experience in 3D modeling, preferably SDRC/IDEAS
