Converters can now harness the latest in web guiding technology without fear. The DAC-004 includes intuitive software for easy setup and calibration.
Oklahoma City, OK. ñ Fife Corporation, a leader in web guiding and inspection technology, introduced their newest camera sensor at CMM 2003. The new DAC-004 digital camera sensor enables converters to guide a wide range of difficult to sense materials from nonwovens to steel, and includes innovative new software to simplify setup and operation.
The DAC-004 sensor utilizes a total of 7,450 pixels and can sense up to four edges of material web width, with a high resistance to contamination, dust particles, oil, vapors, and water. The DAC-004 has the ability to connect via Analog or Digital with fieldbus network connectivity and runs in a variety of applications from armless rewinding, center, edge, and line guiding to web width measurement.
Operation and maintenance of this digital camera sensor are simplified with Fifeís Virtual PC Scope software, a powerful tool included with the DAC-004. Virtual PC Scope allows the operator to complete the setup and calibration process from a laptop computer, without an oscilliscope or other complex calibration tools.
