The Performance Series knifeholder offers a number of revolutionary features. Its modular mount gives greater flexibility to adapt to custom applications. The cant angle key with factory pre-sets allows operators to quickly and easily change the knifeholder direction in a few seconds without tools. The Performance Series knifeholder has a removable blade cartridge that is 180-degree reversible, which allows use of both sides of the anvil blade for longer life, and it has no external hoses between components affording quick reversal.

Tidlandís new knifeholder is made of corrosion-proof materials with an air-purged and dust-proof design that reduces maintenance and ensures a long, trouble-free life. Its automatic half-stroke precisely sets the correct side pressure between top and anvil knives, greatly reducing operator error. The tool-free, one handed cartridge mount with safety lock makes removing and rotating the cartridge even faster and easier.

Additional options include a 360-degree blade guard for increased safety, an innovative dual circuit which provides independent regulation of the blade side force and down stroke, maximizing pressure during web penetration, and a pneumatic lock mount with pinion and traverse knob which makes for precise set-ups on applications requiring frequent slit changes.

Tidlandís Performance Series knifeholders are available in three models to accommodate a wide range of slitting applications and materials; Class I for light duty shearing, Class II for medium to heavy duty slitting and Class III for mill duty applications. They fit the Tidland MSPä - Modular Slitter Positioning and ESP® - Electronic Slitter Positioning systems.
